Hi Daniil,

Thanks for the report and apologies for the delay in our response. It's very busy times at Brightrock and in cadence with certain milestones and sometimes it can take a little longer to get around to responding to reports here.

I wanted to let you know that I jumped into My Pet Dungeon today to run this through a test a few times on a few different MPD levels and I couldn't replicate the behaviour you described. Each time a wizard with elementals was dropped their elementals would correctly become vulnerable as the Wizard does.

Unfortunately without being able to replicate the issue I won't be able to push it into our backlog. If you know of any additional steps required please let me know.

Cheers,

Lee

Hi Mikkel,

Thanks for dropping that in for us. Although there's little information included every little helps us in our investigations.

I'm truly sorry I couldn't help you find a solution at this time. Hopefully when our team comes back around to WFTO and we get our hands on an affected system we can find some workable solution for everyone affected.

Sadly I currently have no ETA for this so I will be moving this ticket to accepted and putting it on hold in the meantime until we can swing back around. I thank you for your patience in this matter, I appreciate your frustration especially moving from Linux to Windows where you'd expect software to be more readily compatible out of the box.

Thanks for letting us know another Unity game is affected as well. If nothing else that will help us pinpoint a common cause.

Thanks,

Lee

Hey Professor Plum,

Thanks for the report and apologies in taking the time to get back to you. It's certainly a pretty interesting issue and honestly I'm not sure if it is a bug or is intended. It certainly feels odd!

I'm confirming with the designer on why this might be and will either make it so they can be blood money'd as well or leave them as is. :P

Cheers,

Lee

Hi Grant,

Apologies that I didn't get back to you! I was sure that I did but as usual it has been madness here so perhaps I never clicked the post button!

Thanks for keeping us informed, I hadn't considered rolling out an eGPU and it's a shame that it yielded no improvements. On our side we've yet to have opportunity to investigate further as I mentioned previously our code team are all occupied on our main project. I have kept them informed on developments from users and so I am continuing to compile further updates and reports for when we can get another spin on WFTO.

Sorry once more that there's no positive news I can share on this.

Lee

Hi Mikkel.

I have separated your ticket out to save you the time of creating your own.

It seems like my suspicions are likely confirmed that you've run into the compatibility issue I linked above. This is the first time I've seen the window actually appear though. Others report that the icon appears on the task bar and disappears almost instantly. But the data in your output_log appears the same. Which is to say the program just ends prematurely.

Please send the additional info as instructed in the ticket when you can unfortunately at this time I can only advise a refund beyond that. But every bit of data we can get on this will help us to investigate further once our programming team aren't so snowed under.

Thanks,

Lee

Hi Mikkel

Looks like your issue may actually be different from the one reported here (which is from 2 years ago).

If I'm right the issue you're having is that the splash screen appears and disappears followed by nothing happening at all (no black screen). This is a recent development related to the 10th-gen Intel CPUs on Laptops/Tablets.

Am I right in my assumption that you are playing the game on a recently release laptop or tablet that features a 10th gen Intel CPU with Intel Iris Graphics? In any case please raise a separate report as per the link Cian included above.

You can also review Game does not start. Crash after splash screen on start up. [Windows 10 - 10th Gen Intel Iris Laptop, Microsoft Surface 7] which should help summarise your issue. In any case at the very least please raise a ticket with the details requested in the "Advice" section.

Thanks,

Lee

Hi EggFrench,

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue with the game and I appreciate you taking the time to submit a report here. Unfortunately this is an issue that has been reported by several other users in recent months and is related to Intel's 10th Generation Mobile CPUs. We've seen quite a few reports from other users on the new Microsoft Surface's which are amongst the first to be affected by this issue.

You can read the knowledgebase article on it to get the full picture. Game does not start. Crash after splash screen on start up. [Windows 10 - 10th Gen Intel Iris Laptop, Microsoft Surface 7]

Long story short is at the moment there's no workaround and no known solutions. We've exhausted our troubleshooting options and are now in a holding pattern until we get time to come back around and see if there's a solution we can find but we know this currently isn't actually related to our code.

As such I can only recommend that you refund the game for now and I will be back in touch if we manage to find a solution for you. I will be merging all the reports of this issue together in the next week or so so that they're all tracked together.

Before you do refund however could I ask you to provide some more details as outlined in that Knowledgebase Article. We'd like to get as much information as we can for our more in depth investigations and to hopefully replicate the issue ourselves.

Thank you and apologies that there's nothing I can do to help at this time.

Lee

Thanks for the info Markus. I'll give it a try myself in the coming week and see if I can replicate but I think it's a pretty low chance. Hopefully it's not affected your progress!

Cheers,

Lee

Hi Markus,

Sorry to hear you've suffered from a crash. Unfortunately it seems that the report has failed to stack trace correctly which implies the Unity Engine itself fell over. There's not much we can do to investigate further.

I'd love to know details surrounding the issue however. Is this a random occurance you've faced? Does it happen regularly? Do you know what you were doing at the time when the crash occured?

Thanks,

Lee
