Hmmm not sure then. Could be fragmentation or degradation of the storage hardware. I've seen a case where a drive was so badly degraded it ran the load time into multiple 10s of minutes


There's not been any changes on our side since 2018 so nothing has changed about the load process in that time.


Perhaps you could try running a few checks to make sure the installation is still valid and the drive is still healthy? Otherwise maybe try installing the game to another drive and giving it a go from there. Worse comes to worse you could try backing up and deleting your user data for the game.


Good catch. That's definitely not meant to be the case I'll put this in our backlog to try and look at when we swing back around to WFTO.

This will be fixed in the next patch. Whenever that might be.

The first load can take some time, sadly the version of Unit the game runs on doesn't support multi-threading very well so it's not leveraged in loading times. Give it a little while, once you've booted it once it'll be quicker.

Please can you give us a full run down of your system specs and generation of device. Please be aware that the game is not supported on Macbooks from 2016 onwards. System Requirements

Apologies for the delay in my response, it's been a busy month.

I'm sorry to hear that you've experienced this issue, I've seen similar reports for issues like this on Windows though they were resolved a long time ago with various updates to the UI Middleware. Essentially my understanding of this issue is that some GPUs incorrectly render the UI Overlay which prevents the clickthrough to the game from properly occurring. This is the first time I've seen the issue described for an OS X system however.


Intel GPUs are most commonly affected of these and are not as widely supported by Unity's rendering pipeline. In the past I would have suggested Unable to click game objects / tag tiles [Fixed in v2.0] as a solution but as this typically requires running the game in an older version of Direct3D this would, to my knowledge, not work on OS X which uses OpenGL.


Unfortunately at this time our team is completely tied up in work on future projects and it will be some time until we can come back around to fully investigate this issue. It may be one in a series of continuing deviation on Apple's side which has caused several of their systems to become unsupported for WFTO over the years, as detailed here. System Requirements


For now I'd like to get my hands on your player.log (How to: Submit a Bug Ticket) to see if there's anything which stands out. But other than that I don't think there's much chance of a timely solution and I would recommend chasing Steam for a refund if you can, with our blessing.

Hi Rodriguez,

I just gave this a test and can confirm the achievement unlocked for me. The achievement will only unlock once you complete the level, if you have collected 500,000 of the 1,000,000 gold target within 20 minutes you should be rewarded the achievement upon completion of the level.

As Tute says I do believe the bards you recruit can be from elsewhere on the map. I think this is a confusing objective however so I'm going to accept it as something to potentially fix in a future maintenance pass.
