Hi Lukas,

Sorry to hear about your issues, if your computer is just straight shutting down, that would suggest some form of hardware fault. Perhaps your CPU is overheating (WFTO is an extremely intensive CPU program and can cause your CPU to run hot if not properly cooled.) most PCs will shut down automatically if the CPU reaches over a certain temperature.

To check for this I'd recommend a few things:

1. Check your Windows Event Log if a computer shuts down it will usually state a reason why in here. Though sometimes if the cutoff comes suddenly it might not

2. Run a CPU temperature monitoring program such as core temp to check your CPU temperatures. It'll usually tell you what your cutoff temp is but on average it's usually between 70 degrees celcius and 90 degrees celcius.

Any issue such as this is very unlikely to be related to WFTO itself as programs like ours cannot take control over core windows systems.

Thanks for the feedback guys, we'll make sure this info makes it's way to Unity. It can't be a coincidence that for the majority of you unplugging a second monitor seems to assist.

I'll also be deploying a knowledgebase article with this issue and workaround tomorrow.

This suggests there is additional causes for this issue. We've yet to be able to test internally with our Mac. Sorry to hear the workaround thus far is not working for you.

If possible can you also check and run through the steps in here: General Crash Troubleshooting

Can you both also make sure you've followed the instructions in: General Crash Troubleshooting

Hi ZzZombo,

I'm afraid we'll need more information on this including a fuller description of the issue, steps to replicate any information about which map you were on and your system specs.

Please read this topic and be sure to include as much information as you can: How to: Submit a Bug Ticket

Very unusual indeed, please can you provide all the information as requested in this topic: How to: Submit a Bug Ticket

Sending this straight on to code. From what I can see there is indeed relevant info in the Output.log, looks like Mono (Unity?) is falling over.

Can you confirm the following for me?

  1. Did you start this home realm before the recent patch?
  2. Are you attempting to load a save or directly return to your home realm

Cheers,

Lee
